Purpose of the Conference The UFLA Think Tank Conference 2025 is a high-level convening of policymakers, regulators, practitioners, and development partners focused on transforming Uganda’s financial literacy landscape. The forum provides a platform to spotlight key national interventions, foster strategic dialogue, and mobilize support for decentralizing, democratizing, and digitizing financial literacy across all communities.
Key Interventions to be Spotlighted
- Launch of UFLA District Chapters: Structured chapters across 77 districts will coordinate grassroots training, impact monitoring, and localized content delivery.
- Rollout of UFLA Web Portal & Mobile App: A unified digital infrastructure for trainer registration, reporting, knowledge-sharing, M&E dashboards, and stakeholder interaction.
- Edutainment Partnership with Creative Industry: Collaboration with musicians, poets, filmmakers, and content creators to deliver relatable and engaging financial literacy messages.
- Establishment of Mentorship Programs and UFLA Institute: Support continuous professional development of trainers and lay the groundwork for a national Financial Literacy Institute.
- Formation of UFLA Cooperative: Promote savings, collective investment, and practical financial education for certified members.
- Localization of Content: Translate the national curriculum into eight major Ugandan languages to reach underserved populations.
- Unveiling of Elite Financial Literacy Influencers Club: Mobilize members with 5,000+ social media following to drive campaigns and promote partner visibility.
